In the Jefferson County Chapter of the University of Alabama Alumni Association we are committed to several things: our love for the University of Alabama, our support of the National Alumni Association, and our dedication to the students from Jefferson County who attend the University of Alabama. Our primary mission is to raise funds that support the scholarships for students from Jefferson County. In 2019 we are awarding 17 scholarships totaling $55,000! While this is a very serious matter, and it makes a huge difference to so many students and their families, we also make sure that we have a lot of FUN!
Additionally, we have added a fabulous group of “Young Alumni”! If you are under 30 years old, please note that we have created a reduced cost of membership. It is our hope that this reduction will encourage you to join. We need ALL age groups in order to further our mission. Some of our activities are the big fall kick off when we celebrate everything about our football team. This is our biggest event of the year! We also offer basketball tickets, trivia night, tours, baseball tickets, student recruitment events, a scholarship reception to honor or scholarship recipients, and more!
We welcome alumni as well as friends of alumni. We are a very inclusive group and look forward to increasing our membership. So please join us and bring your friends who are alumni or fans of the University of Alabama!!!
